Best practices before installing the software

  • Trellix FRP extension for 5.6.0 must be installed before deploying FRP 5.6.0 client packages.

  • This update requires MsgBus Cert updater 5.8.3 or later to be installed on the Windows and Mac clients before installing or upgrading Trellix FRP.

  • Trellix Agent must be updated to 5.8.0 or later.

  • Use ePO - On-prem to prevent deployments to unsupported operating systems such as Windows XP 64-bit and Windows Vista 64-bit. ePO - On-prem and Trellix Agent ensure that the Trellix FRP client runs only on endpoints with supported operating systems.

  • To avoid installing on an unsupported Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), refer to the KB81149. It provides the latest information on supported VDI environments including installation steps and applicable constraints.

  • By default, files copied to One Drive and One Drive for Business folders, on the Windows 10 1709 version or higher OS running Trellix FRP get decrypted. For more information, see KB86791.
