Configuring MTA event notifications using the CLI

Use the commands in this section to configure MTA event notifications. (See MTA event notification settings for a description of the parameters.)

To configure MTA event notifications:
  1. Go to CLI configuration mode:

    hostname > enable
    hostname # configure terminal
  2. Enable MTA event notifications:

    hostname (config) # email-analysis policy monitor enable
  3. Specify how frequently the MTA health check is run:

    hostname (config) # email-analysis policy monitor interval <minutes>
  4. Specify the bypass threshold:

    hostname (config) # email-analysis policy monitor bypass-threshold <number>
  5. Specify the deferred email threshold:

    hostname (config) # email-analysis policy monitor defer-threshold <number>
  6. Specify how frequently notifications are sent:

    hostname (config) # email-analysis policy monitor backoff <seconds>
  7. Verify your changes:

    hostname (config) # show email-analysis policy
  8. Save your changes:

    hostname (config) # write memory
