Configuring the quarantine settings using the CLI

Use the CLI commands in this topic to configure the settings of the quarantine.

To configure the settings for the quarantine:
  1. Go to CLI configuration mode.

    hostname > enable
    hostname # configure terminal
  2. Specify the maximum size of the quarantine in gigabytes.

    hostname (config) # email-analysis quarantine size <limit>

    Note

    The upper limit is 250 GB. The default size is 20 GB.

  3. Enable the option to automatically remove the emails from the quarantine.

    hostname (config) # email-analysis quarantine cleanup enable
  4. Specify the number of days to keep the emails in the quarantine before they are automatically removed.

    hostname (config) # email-analysis quarantine cleanup keep <numberDays>

    Note

    The default value is 30 days.

  5. Enable the option to send the usage notification email about the quarantine to an administrator.

    hostname (config) # email-analysis quarantine notice enable
  6. Specify the upper percentage of space used in the quarantine, above which a notification is sent out.

    hostname (config) # email-analysis quarantine notice high-water <limit>

    Note

    The default upper percentage is 90.

  7. Specify the lower percentage of space used in the quarantine, below which a notification is sent out.

    hostname (config) # email-analysis quarantine notice low-water <limit>

    Note

    The default lower percentage is 60.

  8. Verify the configuration settings for the quarantine.

    hostname (config) # show email-analysis
  9. Save your changes.

    hostname (config) # write memory
To disable the settings for the quarantine:
  1. Go to CLI configuration mode.

    hostname > enable
    hostname # configure terminal
  2. Disable the option to automatically remove the emails from the quarantine.

    hostname (config) # no email-analysis quarantine cleanup enable
  3. Disable the option to send the usage notification email about the quarantine to an administrator.

    hostname (config) # no email-analysis quarantine notice enable
  4. Verify the configuration settings for the quarantine.

    hostname (config) # show email-analysis
  5. Save your changes.

    hostname (config) # write memory

This example shows how to configure the quarantine settings. The Email-Analysis Quarantine section of the show email-analysis command output displays the quarantine settings.
