Create an encryption policy for removable media

You can create a policy to encrypt the removable media when it is inserted into the system.

(Mac only) Enforce encryption policy requires a full disk access for fmpd process. For details, see KB94146.

Task

  1. Log on to Trellix ePO - On-prem as an administrator.
  2. Select Menu → Policy → Policy Catalog.
  3. From the products pane, select File and Removable Media Protection, then select Removable Media(User-Based Policy) policy to edit.
  4. In the USB Media tab, select the required USB media protection level and options.

  5. Click Save.

Results

The encryption policy is created successfully.
