Deleting the SMTP interface configuration using the CLI

Use the CLI commands in this procedure to delete the SMTP (pether3) interface configuration.

To delete the SMTP interface configuration:
  1. Go to CLI configuration mode.

    hostname > enable
    hostname # configure terminal
  2. Delete the specified IPv4 address and mask length for the pether3 interface.

    hostname (config) # no interface pether3 ip address

  3. Delete the specified static IPv6 address and mask length for the pether3 interface.

    hostname (config) # no interface pether3 ipv6 address <IPv6_address>/<mask_length>

  4. Verify your changes.

    hostname (config) # show interface pether3 configured

  5. Save your changes.

    hostname (config) # write memory

Example

This example deletes the specified IPv4 address and mask length for the pether3 interface.

hostname (config) # no interface pether3 ip address

hostname (config) # show interface pether3 configured
