Deploy Trellix Drive Encryption in FIPS mode

Prev Next

The 140 series of Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) is a set of U.S. government computer security standards that specify requirements for cryptography modules.

Trellix Core Cryptographic Module (MCCM) is certified for FIPS 140-2 and these cryptographic modules are included in Drive Encryption.

The Drive Encryption Admin and Drive Encryption PC (installed on ePO - On-prem) consume the certified cryptography provided by ePO - On-prem running in FIPS mode, and thus do not need to be certified independently.

The current status of this certification is available on the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) website.
