MDE-8739 | This hotfix ensures that the Drive Encryption drivers used for Microsoft Windows 10/11 in-place upgrades are updated to the latest version. Older drivers were used during in-place upgrades and resulted in one of the following situations:
The intermittent Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) issue can be caused when other software on the system is using SSE2/XMM CPU registers at the same time as the Drive Encryption drivers. This hotfix eliminates the risk of either of these situations occurring. |
