Enabling and disabling IPMI firmware notifications using the CLI

This procedure describes how to use CLI commands to disable and re-enable notifications about out-of-date IPMI firmware on the Email Security - Server appliance. This notification is enabled by default.

To disable notifications about out-of-date firmware:
  1. Go to CLI configuration mode:

    hostname > enable
    hostname # configure terminal
  2. Disable notifications:

    hostname (config) # no ipmi firmware update notice enable
  3. Save your changes.

    hostname (config) # write memory
To re-enable notifications about out-of-date firmware:
  1. Go to CLI configuration mode:

    hostname > enable
    hostname # configure terminal
  2. Enable notifications:

    hostname (config) # ipmi firmware update notice enable
  3. Save your changes.

    hostname (config) # write memory
