Failure sysdumps max age settings using the CLI

Use the CLI pm failure max-sysdumps-age command to set the maximum days to keep sysdump files. To restore the retention of sysdumps default value use the no form of this command.

Prerequisites

  • Administrator access to the Email Security - Server appliance

To change the number of days to keep sysdump files:
  1. Go to the CLI configuration mode.

    hostname > enable
    hostname # configure terminal
  2. Enter the command pm failure max-sysdumps-age <number of days>:

    hostname (config) # pm failure max-sysdumps-age <number of days>

Example

The following command configures the sysdump files to be retained up to 300 days. You can verify the setting with a show pm command. You can reset the setting to its default value of 365 days by using the no pm failure max-sysdumps-age command.

hostname (config) # pm failure max-sysdumps-age 300
hostname (config) # show pm
			Process launch / shutdown:

			...

			Crash handling:

			...
			Maximum number of sysdumps to allow:    100
			Maximum number of days to keep sysdumps:    300
			...
