You can configure the sensor to monitor PostgreSQL without an alternative connection. In such case the following functions will be not be available:

To close a session
To query the server version
To receive a list of all open sessions

Add the following line to postgresql.cnf file:
1. To log to a file, add the following line:
  audit.json_file = 1
2. or, to log to a Unix domain socket, add the following line:
  audit.json_unix_socket = 1
