# Compatibility with other software

Trellix Endpoint Security (ENS) for Mac doesn't support the co-existence of competitor's software in the Mac.

During the standalone installation, the installer prompts you to select modules for installation. You can select one or multiple modules. To install a module later, you must start the installation wizard. If the modules are grayed out, it indicates that the installer has detected the competitor software on your Mac. During Trellix ePO - On-prem deployment, the installation will gracefully exit and an event will be sent to Trellix ePO - On-prem with the reason for failure.
