# Configure deferred scan using command line interface

You can enable or disable deferred scans using these commands.

 
 

## Task

1. To enable deferred scan, run: 
  
  
 <kbd> /opt/McAfee/ens/tp/bin/mfetpcli --setdeferredscan enable</kbd>
2. To disable deferred scan, run: 
  
  
 <kbd>/opt/McAfee/ens/tp/bin/mfetpcli --setdeferredscan disable</kbd>

> Note
> 
> You can view updated status of deferred scan only after restating the service.
3. To view the status of deferred scan, run: 
  
  
 <kbd> /opt/McAfee/ens/tp/bin/mfetpcli --getdeferredscan</kbd>
