Configuring automatic security content updates using the Web UI

Use the DTI Network Settings page to configure automatic security content updates.

Note

The Intelligent Virtual Execution - Server appliance has a CLI and a Web UI. The recommended method for this configuration on a Intelligent Virtual Execution - Server appliance is through the Central Management System Web UI.

Prerequisites

  • Admin access

To configure automatic security content updates:

  1. Select Appliance Settings from the Admin menu.

  2. Click DTI Network. then click the All_Edit_icon.png icon in the Settings column of the Security Contents row.

  3. Select the update frequency from the Update Frequency drop-down list.

    • daily

    • hourly

  4. Set the update start time in the time drop-down list.

    • If you selected a daily update, set the time, based on a 24-hour clock, when the update starts.

    • If you selected an hourly update, set the minutes after the hour when the update starts.

  5. Click Apply Settings.

  6. (Optional) To receive email notification of each security content update, select the Notify checkbox.

    Note

    If you select the Notify checkbox, make sure that you have configured event notifications. See theEndpoint Security (HX) User Guide.
