Install iptables on Linux endpoints

The Containment feature on Linux endpoints requires iptables as a prerequisite. This requirement applies to ePO - On-prem and ePO - SaaS users.

Note

The Containment feature may not function as expected on Linux endpoints if iptables is not installed.

To install iptables on Linux endpoints, run the following commands:

  • Debian and Debian-based distributions:

    sudo apt install iptables or sudo apt install iptables-persistent

  • RedHat-based distributions:

    sudo yum install iptables or sudo yum install iptables-services
