# Install the software from the command line (silent installation)

You can use the command line to install the software without user intervention.

1. Open a Terminal window and change the working directory to the one where you saved the package file.
2. Type the following command, then press **return**.

`sudo installer -pkg`
3. Type the administrator password, then press **return**. The following message appears.

**The Install was successful.**
