# Install Trellix Agent 5.8.x on Linux and Macintosh using install scripts

You can install, upgrade, or manage Trellix Agent 5.8.x on non-Windows operating systems such as Macintosh and Linux using the install.sh script.

Supported install.sh script options

| **`-b`** | Upgrades the agent only. Server information is not updated | Yes | Yes |
| **`-h`** | Shows Help | Yes | Yes |
| **`-i`** | Performs a new installation | Yes | Yes |
| **`-p`** | Generates provisioning rpm/deb packages | Yes | No |
| **`-r`** | Runs `macmnsvc` as a root user during installation/upgrade | Yes | Yes |
| **`-R`** | Allows the user to manually specify the RelayServer | Yes | Yes |
| **`-u`** | Upgrades entire installation | Yes | Yes |
