  • Installation directory — Minimum 1.7 GB

    • /opt/McAfee directory — Minimum 750 MB

    • /tmp directory — Minimum 200 MB free space

    • /var directory — Minimum 3 GB partition, 750 MB free space

Python modules

Important

Trellix Endpoint Security (ENS) for Linux 10.7.x requires python 2.7 or later.

Trellix Endpoint Security (ENS) for Linux uses validate-prefs-xml.py module to check if there is any corruption in the prefs.xml. The migration script mfetp.py is used to migrate DAT, policies, and engines from previous versions during upgrade. Both of these scripts require python-xml or python-lxml modules to run.

These modules are valid only for upgrading the software.
