# System requirements

Systems must meet specific hardware and software specification to install and use the software. Review the requirements before installing or upgrading the software.

## Python modules

> Trellix Endpoint Security (ENS) for Linux 10.7.x requires python 2.7 or later.

Trellix Endpoint Security (ENS) for Linux uses 
 <kbd>validate-prefs-xml.py</kbd> module to check if there is any corruption in the 
 <kbd>prefs.xml</kbd>. The migration script 
 <kbd>mfetp.py 
 </kbd> is used to migrate DAT, policies, and engines from previous versions during upgrade. Both of these scripts require 
 <kbd>python-xml</kbd> or 
 <kbd>python-lxml</kbd> modules to run.
