Trellix recommends that you validate the modules are installed correctly and ready to protect your environment. Depending on the modules you selected during the installation, you can test its functionalities.
For Threat Prevention, you can run the EICAR test file. This ensures that Threat Prevention protects your system whenever you access a malware file.
For Firewall, you can create allow or block rules for domains and validate whether the rule works as defined in the configuration. For example, you can create allow or block rule to your organization’s website and validate whether it is allowed or blocked appropriately.
For Web Control, firstly, make sure that the Web Control extension is added to the Safari browser. Later, access a website using Safari and ensure that the Trellix icon appears in the browser.
