Upgrading the appliance with a DMZ server

If your environment includes a DMZ server, follow these steps to perform an upgrade:

  1. Detach the DMZ.

  2. Enable quiesce mode on the appliance.

    Note

    For more information on how to enable quiesce mode, see Enabling quiesce mode

  3. Wait for the status to display that quiesce mode is enabled. To verify, use the show hx server general command.

  4. Perform the upgrade.

  5. After you upgrade the DMZ and Endpoint Security (HX), reattach the DMZ and reenable quiesce mode on the appliance.
