bridge <interface> ageing-time <time>

Sets the amount of time (in seconds) that a MAC addresses remain in the forwarding table. Once the specified time is exceeded, the MAC address is removed from the forwarding table. The time starts at the moment the MAC address is last seen.

Syntax

[no] bridge <interface> ageing-time <time>

Parameters

no

Removes the previously set forward time.

time

Time in seconds.

Example

The following example sets the aging time on ether1 to 30 seconds.

hostname (config) # bridge ether1 ageing-time 30

The following example removes the previously set aging time.

hostname (config) # no bridge ether2 ageing-time
