The Network Security Web UI uses HTTPS to provide a secure connection with the appliance or sensor. The Web UI functions you have access to depend on the privileges granted by your role.

Logging in to the Web UI
Go to
https://appliance or sensorin the browser, whereappliance or sensoris the IP address or hostname of the appliance or sensor. For example, if the configured IP address of the appliance is 10.1.0.1, enterhttps://10.1.0.1.On the login page, enter the username and password provided by your administrator.
Notification of a detection problem
An alarm notification appears if problems are found with the detection engine processes when you log in to the Web UI.
To cancel the alarm notification, click the red X. The alarm is no longer displayed on the page. The alarm continues to appear when you go to other pages in the Web UI.
To acknowledge the alarm notification during this session, select the Acknowledge check box. A confirmation message appears.
Click Yes to acknowledge the alarm notification. The alarm is no longer displayed on any page in the Web UI. The alarm will appear the next time you log in.
To override false positives, the alarm notification can be disabled globally through a security content update.
