Displaying the attributes of an IPS policy (CLI)

At the CLI of an IPS platform, you can display the attributes of a default or custom IPS policy by using the show ips policies command. The command output displays policy state attributes, rule selection attributes, rule exclusion attributes, and rule inclusion attributes.

Prerequisites
  • Log in to the CLI of the IPS appliance as Monitor, Analyst, Operator, or Admin.

Procedure
To display the attributes of an IPS policy:
  1. Enable the CLI enable mode.

    hostname > enable
  2. Display the attributes of an IPS policy.

    The following example displays the attributes of the custom IPS policy named myCustom1.

    hostname # show ips policies myCustom1
