Follow these steps to enable or disable the Advanced URL Defense feature using the CLI.
Important
When the Central Management System appliance is used to manage your Network Security appliances, use one of the following configuration commands to enable Advanced URL Defense:
cmc execute appliance <appliance_name> command "analysis url policy adv-url-defense enable"
cmc execute group <group_name> command "analysis url policy adv-url-defense enable"The Central Management System appliance will apply the setting globally to all qualified Network Security appliances that are connected or will be connected to that Central Management System appliance.
Note
In Release 8.0, do not use the
show email-analysis policycommand to verify the status for Advanced URL Defense.
Go to CLI configuration mode:
hostname > enable hostname # configure terminal
Enable the settings for Advanced URL Defense.
hostname (config) # analysis url policy adv-url-defense enable

In Release 8.0, the
email-analysis policy adv-url-defense enablecommand was changed to theanalysis url policy adv-url-defense enablecommand.Save your changes.
hostname (config) # write memory
Verify the status for Advanced URL Defense.
hostname (config) # show analysis url-policy . . Advanced URL Defense: yes
Go to CLI configuration mode:
hostname > enable hostname # configure terminal
Disable Advanced URL Defense.
hostname (config) # no analysis url policy adv-url-defense enable

hostname (config) # write memory
Verify the status for Advanced URL Defense.
