To enable or disable ICAP REQMOD support or ICAP RESPMOD support using the appliance CLI, use the [no] icap-service reqmod enable command or the [no] icap-service respmod enable command.
Prerequisites
Administrator access to the Network Security appliance
Go to CLI configuration mode.
hostname > enable hostname # configure terminal
Enable REQMOD for the ICAP service on the appliance.
hostname (config) # icap-service reqmod enable
Enable RESPMOD for the ICAP service on the appliance.
hostname (config) # icap-service respmod enable
Verify the status of REQMOD and RESPMOD for the ICAP service.
hostname (config) # show icap-service config ICAP Configuration: ICAP enabled : yes Interface : ether1 Request Mod Enabled : yes Response Mod Enabled : yes . . .
The "Request Mod Enabled" and "Response Mod Enabled" lines display "yes" if the modes are enabled for the ICAP service.
Save your changes.
hostname (config) # write memory
Go to CLI configuration mode.
hostname > enable hostname # configure terminal
Disable REQMOD for the ICAP service on the appliance.
hostname (config) # no icap-service reqmod enable
Disable RESPMOD for the ICAP service on the appliance.
hostname (config) # no icap-service respmod enable
Verify the status of REQMOD and RESPMOD for the ICAP service.
hostname (config) # show icap-service config ICAP Configuration: ICAP enabled : yes Interface : ether1 Request Mod Enabled : no Response Mod Enabled : no . . .
The "Request Mod Enabled" and "Response Mod Enabled" lines display "no" if the modes are disabled for the ICAP service.
Save your changes.
