Enabling or disabling the SSL interception whitelist for URL categorization using the CLI

You can use the url-category lookup enable command to globally enable and disable the SSL interception URL category whitelist feature on the appliance using the CLI. This feature is enabled by default.

To enable the SSL interception URL whitelist feature on the appliance:
  1. Go to CLI configuration mode.

    hostname > enable
    hostname # configure terminal
  2. Enable the SSL interception URL category whitelist on the appliance.

    hostname (config) # url-category lookup enable
  3. Verify your changes.

    In the following example, the "URL Lookup:" line of the command output displays "Enabled" to show that the SSL interception URL category whitelist feature is enabled.

    hostname (config) # show url-category stats
          URL lookup                  : Enabled
          Whitelist null url          : Disabled
          Whitelist uncategorized url : Disabled
          ........
  4. Save your changes.

    hostname (config) # write memory

To disable the SSL interception URL whitelist feature on the appliance:

  1. Go to CLI configuration mode.

    hostname > enable
    hostname # configure terminal
  2. Disable the SSL interception URL category whitelist:

    hostname (config) # no url-category lookup enable
  3. Verify your changes.

    In the following example, the "URL Lookup:" line of the command output displays "Disabled" to show that the SSL interception URL category whitelist feature is disabled.

    hostname (config) # show url-category stats
          URL lookup                  : Disabled
          Whitelist null url          : Disabled
          Whitelist uncategorized url : Disabled
