You must use two peer Monitoring ports of the Sensor to deploy it full duplex mode. On the Sensor, the numbered ports are wired in pairs to accommodate the traffic.
The following Ethernet ports are coupled and must be used together.
Note
On NS9600 Sensors, the built-in G0 consists of 4 QSFP28 /QSFP+ 100/40 Gigabit Ethernet ports, which support QSFP28 /QSFP+ transceiver modules sold separately by Trellix.
G1, G2, and G3 indicate the slots for interface modules. The interface modules supported by NS9600 Sensor are:
4-port 100/40 Gigabit SR MTP/MPO interface module
4-port 100/40 Gigabit with internal fail open interface modules (that is, 100/40 Gigabit SR MTP/MPO, 40 Gigabit LR4, 100 Gigabit LR4, and 100/40 Gigabit BiDi)
6-port RJ45 10/1 Gigabit Ethernet with internal fail-open interface module
8-port 10/1 Gigabit fiber with internal fail-open interface modules
Note that 4-port 100/40 Gigabit SR MTP/MPO interface module, 4-port 100/40 Gigabit with internal fail open network interface modules, and 8-Port 10/1 Gigabit (SM and MM) network interface module with internal fail open have fixed transceivers, and do not require any additional transceiver module.
In the following table, it is assumed that G1 is a 4-port 100/40 Gigabit SR MTP/MPO network interface module, G2 is a 6-port RJ45 10/1 Gigabit Ethernet with internal fail-open network interface module, and G3 is a 8-Port 10/1 Gigabit SM with Internal fail-open network interface module. These interface modules can be interchanged.
Note
4-port 100/40 Gigabit SR MTP/MPO network interface module is supported only in G1 and G2 slots.
Since monitoring ports are internally wired, when you disable one of the ports in a pair, the corresponding paired port is also disabled.
