The Virtual Manager image for ESXi, KVM, and Nutanix servers allows you to create virtual instances of the IPS Manager/Central Manager running on a Linux operating system.
Refer to the sections Create a Manager instance using OVA file and Create a Manager instance using qcow2 file in Install the Manager for the creation of virtual instances of the Manager.

You cannot perform a direct upgrade from 11.1 Update 9 to 11.1 Update 10. Installing the 11.1 Update 10 version of the Manager on a virtual machine requires a fresh deployment. After the fresh deployment, you can restore an "All Table Backup" from the 11.1 Update 9 version.
