Adds static routes to the IP routing table.

Syntax

[no] ip route <networkPrefix> <netmask> <destination> <interface>

Parameters

<no>

Use the no form of this command to delete the IP route.

<networkPrefix>

The network prefix used by the appliance for communication.

<netmask>

The netmask used. You can use one of two forms:

  • netmask, for example 255.255.255.0

  • mask length, for example /24

<destination>

The next hop IP or interface name you are connecting to.

<interface>

The appliance interface associated with the static address.

Example

The following example adds static routes to the IP routing table.

hostname (config) # ip route 172.16.10.10 255.255.255.255 10.10.10.1 pether3
