Associates a hostname with an IPv6 address.

Syntax

[no] ipv6 hosthostname ip_address

Parameters

no

Deletes a host-to-address mapping.

hostname

Hostname. You can specify multiple host/address mappings (one per command).

ip_address

IP address of the hostname.

Example

The following example maps “myhost” to the specified IPv6 address.

hostname (config) # ipv6 host myhost 2001:db8::2769:ef0:1674:7f9
