Prerequisites:
You must have an Azure subscription account before you begin launching the IPS Manager.
Availability zone for creating an MDR.
A network security group should be created before launching the Manager.
The Manager is launched as a virtual machine in the Azure environment. When you launch a virtual machine for the Manager, the Manager is pre-installed in the virtual machine.
If you have the Manager behind a firewall, you need to update your firewall rules accordingly such that ports are open for the Manager to communicate with Sensors. For more information on ports used by the Manager to communicate with Sensors, see the section Requirements to deploy Trellix Virtual IPS in a GWLB-based Azure environment.
You can deploy the Manager using the Azure UI or Azure CLI commands.
Note
Trellix recommends you to reboot the system once it is up and running irrespective of the mode chosen by you for deploying the Manager as mentioned in the subsequent sections.
