Prerequisites:
You must have an Azure subscription account before you begin deploying the External Controller.
A network security group should be created before deploying the vIPS Controller.
Make sure to open the ports required for the vIPS Controller to communicate with the IPS Manager and the Virtual IPS Sensor. For more information on the ports required for vIPS Controller communication with the Manager and the Virtual IPS Sensor, see Requirements to deploy Trellix Virtual IPS in Azure environment.
The vIPS Controller is deployed as a virtual machine in Azure. You can deploy the vIPS Controller using the Azure UI.
