The workflow addresses licensing for both existing Network Security customers transitioning to NDRand new NDR customers. The way you obtain and use NDR licenses depends on whether you are an existing Network Security customer or a new customer.

NDR Sensor feature license (for existing NX customers) | Existing Network Security customers can convert to NDR by purchasing and installing an NDR feature license. The license unlocks NDR CLI commands and allows switching between NDRoperational modes. NDR Sensor appliance license (for new customers) | New customers receive an NDR appliance license, which enables NDR sensor by default. |
Subscription-Based License | NDR licensing is subscription-based. Customers purchasing an NDR subscription receive licenses for both NDR and NDR. |
Appliance License | Core and Enterprise package customers need an appliance license for hardware and virtual NDR sensors. |
NDR License | The NDR license activates all NDR features, including configuring NDR modes (Defend, Boost, Flare). |
