Previously, the Central Manager did not require any permission to receive automatic updates from Trellix.
Starting with release 9.2.9.55, the Network Security Central Manager should be registered with Trellix to receive automatic updates in real time. To register your Central Manager with Trellix, you must procure the product Registration key from the Trellix Download Server and perform Product Registration in the Manager.
Trellix recommends you to perform Product Registration immediately after the initial login when the Product Registration window opens post installation/upgrade. You can choose to skip the Product Registration in the initial sign-in, but when the Manager is not registered with Trellix, the following features are automatically disabled:
- Download Signature Sets
- Automatic Signature Set Downloading
You can view the registration status of the Central Manager at Manager → Summary.
To register the Central Manager with Trellix, go to Manager → Summary. Click Register Product.
