Previously, the Manager did not require any permission to receive automatic updates from Trellix.
With this release of 10.1, the Manager must be registered with Trellix to receive automatic updates in real time. To register your Manager with Trellix, you must procure the product Registration key from the Trellix Download Server and perform Product Registration in the Manager.
Trellix recommends you to perform Product Registration immediately after the initial logon when the Product Registration window post install/upgrade. You can choose to skip the Product Registration in the initial sign-in, but when the Manager is not registered with Trellix, the following features are automatically disabled:
- Download Signature Sets
- Download Callback Detectors
- Download Device Software
- Signature Set Automatic Updating
- Callback Detector Automatic Updating
- GAM Automatic Updating
You can view the registration status of the Manager at Manager → <Root Admin Domain> → Summary Page.
To register the Manager with Trellix, go to Manager → <Root Admin Domain> → Summary Page. Click Register Product.
On registering the Manager with Trellix, the following details will be sent to Trellix Corporate team when Telemetry is enabled:

The Default - Telemetry (Trellix) report lists the Telemetry data sent to Trellix Corporate team in detail. The Default - Telemetry (Trellix) report is available in the Manager under Analysis → <Admin Domain Name> → Event Reporting → Next Generation Reports.
