Renaming a Network Security HA pair using the CLI

Use the commands in this section to rename a Network Security HA pair.

To rename a Network Security HA pair:
  1. Log in to the Central Management System CLI.

  2. Enable the CLI configuration mode:

    hostname > enable
    hostname # configure terminal
    hostname (config) #
  3. Rename the HA pair:

    hostname (config) # cmc ha nx <existingName> rename <newName>

    where <existingName> is the name you want to replace and <newName> is the new name for the pair.

  4. Verify your change:

    hostname (config) # show cmc ha nx
  5. Save your change:

    hostname (config) # write memory
Example

The following example changes the name from "Acme_NXHA" to "Acme_NXHA_East".

hostname (config) cmc ha nx Acme_NXHA rename Acme_NXHA_East
hostname (config) show cmc ha nx

NX-HA Acme_NXHA_East: nx-1 nx-2      Status: OK
    Comment:                          Eastern region pair
    ...
