Resetting the passwords for npadmin, npscp, and IPMI Admin accounts

  1. Log into the CLI on the NDR.

  2. Enter privileged mode:

    hostname > enable

  3. Enter the admin password:

    [sudo] password for <npadmin>: <password>

  4. Enter configuration mode:

    hostname # configure system

  5. Enter the user menu:

    npadmin@hostname(config)# users

  6. You see the following:

    npadmin@ia123> enable
    [sudo] password for npadmin:
    npadmin@ia123# configure system
    npadmin@ia123(config)# users

    1: Add User
    2: Delete User
    3: Edit User
    4: Change npadmin's Password
    5: Change npscp's Password

    Select which option you would like to change
     using the index number. Enter "q" to exit:>
  7. Select option 4 to edit the npadmin's password.

    1. Confirm that you would like to change the password.

    2. Enter the new password.

    3. Confirm the password.

  8. Select 5 to edit the npscp user password

    1. Confirm that you would like to change the password.

    2. Enter the new password.

    3. Confirm the password.

  9. Select 6 to change the IPMI Admin user password.

    1. Confirm that you would like to change the password.

    2. Enter the new password.

    3. Confirm the password.

  10. Enter q to exit.
