Run a task on an alert

Tasks are individual response actions, such as block an IP address or reboot an asset, that you can run on an alert. Where available, Helix displays a list of recommended tasks you can run on an alert.

Important

To have access to this feature, you must be a Trellix Hyperautomation customer.

To run a task on an alert:

  1. Open an alert and select the Respond tab.

  2. Find the task you want to run and at the end of the row select More Options more-options.png > Run Action.

You can also add additional tasks to run on an alert.

To add a task to an alert:

  1. Open an alert, select the Respond tab, and then click Add Actions.

  2. On the Tasks tab, select all the tasks you want to add to the Alert, and then click Next.

  3. Select the Integration and Instance to run this task.

  4. Configure the parameters. These are specific to the type of task you are adding.

  5. To run the task immediately, click Save and Run. To run it manually later, click Save.
