The SNMP service when enabled in the Linux based Manager allows administrators to view and manage the Linux machine attributes remotely.
Note
The service is disabled by default on a fresh installation of the Linux based Manager. You need to issue the
snmp enablecommand to enable it.
Note

edit snmpd.confcommand to view the attributes of your choice. Upon modifying the file, issue thesnmp restartcommand for the changes to be effective.
Note
The default SNMP community string set in the configuration file is
mlosnsm. You can use this string for authentication, or change it through snmpd.conf if you intend to use a different string. Restart the SNMP service upon changing the string.
