The process of setting up and running Trellix IPS falls into these basic stages:
- Deciding where to deploy Trellix Intrusion Prevention System Sensor and in what operating mode
- Setting up your Sensors for the desired deployment mode(s)
- Installing the Manager software and establishing Sensor-to-Manager communication
- Configuring your deployment using the Manager
- Viewing and working with data generated by Trellix IPS
- Tuning your deployment
- Updating your signatures and software
Each of these stages consists of a number of tasks; some are simple, some are complex. You will generally perform steps 1 through 3 only once per Sensor.
