The following includes the basic Manager troubleshooting scenarios:
Manager login issues
If you are unable login to the Manager UI, ensure that you provide the appropriate username and password. By default, the username is admin and the password is the last six characters of your Manager server instance ID. For example, if the instance ID of the Manager server is 0ca8dad7e9d231c8b, the password is 231c8b. To know the Manager server instance ID, run the
manager statuscommand in the Manager shell. If you are unable login to the Manager via SSH, ensure to provide the appropriate key pair and password. This is the same key that is associated with the instance during the deployment.
Instance/Service failure
If you are unable to login to the Manager or if the Manager service is down, ensure that the supported instance type is deployed. For more information, see Requirements to integrate Trellix vIPS with AWS Gateway Load Balancer or Requirements to deploy Trellix vIPS in AWS environment using Probe-based solution.
Registration/Update issue
If you are unable to register the Manager or download any updates in the Manager, ensure that the Manager subnet has the internet connectivity to reach the Trellix server.
If the connectivity to the Trellix Download Server fails, verify the proxy configurations. This is required to update the signature set, callback detectors, and device software.
Connectivity issue
If you face any connectivity issues, ensure that the configured security group allows inbound rules to the Manager. For more information, see Requirements to integrate Trellix vIPS with AWS Gateway Load Balancer or Requirements to deploy Trellix vIPS in AWS environment using Probe-based solution.
