Turning the Sensor on and off

Prerequisite:

Do not attempt to turn on the Sensor until you have installed the Sensor in a rack and made all the necessary network connections.

Steps:

  1. Connect the power cable to the Sensor power supply.

  2. Connect the power cable to a power source.

    The Sensor has no power switch. The Sensor turns on as soon as one of its power cables is connected to a power source.

    Trellix recommends that you use the shutdown CLI command to halt the Sensor before turning it off. For more information on CLI commands, see the CLI commands section in the Trellix Intrusion Prevention System Product Guide for the specific Sensor software version you are running.
