Note
Do not attempt to turn on the Sensor until you have installed the Sensor in a rack and made all the necessary network connections.
Steps:
Connect the power cable to the Sensor power supply.
Connect the power cable to a power source.

If you are installing a redundant power supply, you should install it as described in Install a new power supply section. For true redundant operation with the optional redundant power supply,Trellix recommends that you plug each supply into a different power circuit.
The Sensor has no power switch. The Sensor turns on as soon as one of its power cables is connected to a power source.
Trellix recommends that you use the
shutdownCLI command to halt the Sensor before turning it off. For more information on CLI commands, see the CLI commands section in Trellix Intrusion Prevention System Product Guide for specific Sensor software version you are running.
