You can unassign license(s) for the Sensor from either Device Manager page or Licenses page in the Manager.
This release of Manager supports the unassigning of licenses in the following nodes:
VM600 Sensors - You can unassign the license from Device Manager - License column, Device Details section of <Device_Name> panel, Summary, and Licenses page in the Manager.
VM5000 Sensors - You can unassign the license from Device Manager - License column, Device Details section of <Device_Name> panel, and Summary.
Unassign a license for the Sensor from Device Manager
To unassign licenses from Device Manager page in the Manager, perform the following steps:
Go to Devices → <Admin Domain Name> → Global → Device Manager.
Select the required Sensor and go to License from System column.
Note
By default, the Running Capacity and License columns are not displayed under System. You can enable them from the Device Details drop-down.
Select the tooltip icon to unassign licenses from the Sensors.

The Capacity License for: <Device Name> window is displayed.
Select the required license(s) and click Unassign to unassign licenses.

Note
For VM5000 Sensors, multiple selection of licenses are allowed in the Manager.
A Warning dialog box is displayed. Click Ok to unassign the licenses.
You can also unassign license in a selected device through <Device_Name> panel. To unassign the license, perform the following steps:
Go to Devices → <Admin Domain Name> → Global → Device Manager.
Double click on the required Sensor in the Device Manager page.
A <Device_Name> panel is displayed.
Go to Device Details and select the tooltip icon from System License.
Repeat the similar steps from Step 4 to unassign the license.
Similarly, you can also unassign the license in a particular device through the Summary page. To unassign the license, perform the following steps:
Go to Devices → <Admin Domain Name> → Devices → <Device_Name> → Summary.
Go to Device Details and select the tooltip icon from System License.
Repeat the similar steps from Step 4 to unassign the license.
Unassign a license for the Sensor from Licenses
To unassign the license from Licenses page in the Manager, perform the following steps:
Go to Manager → <Admin Domain Name> → Setup → Licenses.
Click the Virtual Sensors tab.
Select the license you wish to unassign.
Click Unassign.

A Warning dialog box is displayed. Click Ok to unassign the license from a Sensor.

Note
Once a license is unassigned from the Sensor, the Manager will not be able to deploy pending changes, include new signature sets and policy updates to the Sensor.
