This chapter provides information for an upgrade of Azure components and the versions supported for upgrade.
The Azure components must be upgraded in the following sequence to avoid communication breakdown between the components. Note that there is no packet drop during the upgrade of any Azure component. Trellix recommends you follow the sequence mentioned during the upgrade for Azure components:
Manager (procedure mentioned in Upgrading the Manager in Public Cloud)
Controller (Virtual Probe is upgraded by the Controller)
Virtual IPS Sensor (procedure mentioned in Upgrade of Virtual IPS Sensors)
Note
Before you begin the upgrade process, schedule a maintenance window for an upgrade to avoid unforeseen disruptions.
The following are a few points for consideration before the upgrade:
All the Azure components have to be upgraded to the correct, supported release version for the solution to work seamlessly.
During an upgrade of any of the components, you cannot do a configuration update.
