Using the console port

To access the CLI of the Trellix appliance using the console port, follow these steps:

  1. Connect the serial port of your computer directly to the DB-9 console port on the Trellix appliance.

  2. Open a terminal program on your system, such as HyperTerminal on Windows or Minicom on Linux.

  3. Configure the serial communication settings of your program as follows:

    • Bits per second: 115,200

    • Data bits: 8

    • Stop bit: 1

    • Parity: None

  4. Enter your username and password when prompted.
