This firmware release does not include any new features or enhancements apart from rebranding updates.
Rebranding Updates
This is solely for informational purpose, there is no action required. You can continue to secure your organization with Trellix Intrusion Prevention System as usual.
You will notice the following changes in the software:
Product Name - McAfee Network Security Platform is renamed to Trellix Intrusion Prevention System. All the associated software, hardware, features, and options prefixed with product name are renamed with the new product name.
User Interface - McAfee is replaced with Trellix logo.
Logging - Logs generated will contain Trellix verbiage references.
Trellix MIBs - The MIBs used to communicate via SNMP have now been changed to Trellix.
User Authentication - The user credentials to authenticate into a new installation of Active Fail-Open Kit are:
Username: Trellix00
Password: Trellix00
If you have upgraded an existing Active Fail-Open Kit software, the user credentials are:

Upgrade to this firmware release is only supported from previous releases 0.2.1.8 or 0.2.2.2. If you plan to upgrade from older firmware releases to this release, it is recommended to first upgrade to 0.2.1.8 or 0.2.2.2 and then, upgrade to this release.
Note
Downgrade from this firmware release to the previous releases is not recommended.

Rebranding changes are not applicable for products (both hardware and software) that have reached End of Sale and currently under support period threshold. For more information, see KB96058.
