Use this page to configure encryption policy settings for applications based on their process names on the Application-based Protection policy page.

Note

A file will be encrypted by this policy only if it is opened for writing.

Add

Click Add to specify the process and the file extensions to be encrypted.

Process Name

Specify the process name of the application as seen in the Windows Process Explorer to encrypt files created by the application.

You can specify the process name as it appears in the Windows process explorer to encrypt files created by the application, for example, notepad.exe or test.exe.

You can also specify the process name without a suffix, for example, .exe or .com, using just notepad or test.

Extensions

Specify the file extensions to be encrypted without a dot such as 'txt', 'doc' that are supported by the process. Multiple file extensions can be specified using a space, semicolon, or colon as separators.

Action

Specify the encryption key to be assigned to the policy. Browse to select the key.

Duplicate

Duplicates or copies the policy with a different name that can be assigned to a different user or system.

Save

Saves the product settings policy of Trellix FRP.

Cancel

Closes the policy page without saving the changes.
