Deploy the software to managed systems

Select Menu → Client Tasks → Client Task Catalog → Client Task Types → Trellix Agent → Product Deployment → New Task.

Set these options for the new task:

1. Make sure that Product Deployment is selected, then click OK.

2. In the Name field, enter the task name.

3. From the Target Platforms drop-down list, select Windows or Mac.

4. From the Products and components drop-down list, based on the target platform selected in the previous step, select File and Removable Media Protection for Windows systems or File and Removable Media Protection - OS X for Mac systems.

5. As the Action, select Install.

6. Select an appropriate Language.

7. (Optional) Enter the command line based on your requirements:

   1. To deploy Trellix FRP in FIPS mode, enter FIPS

   2. To deploy Trellix FRP without Self-Protection for testing or troubleshooting, enter NOSELFPROTECTION.

   3. To deploy Trellix FRP with FIPS and without Self-Protection, enter FIPS;NOSELFPROTECTION.

Click Save.

Select Menu → Client Tasks → Client Tasks Assignment, then select the required group in the System Tree.

Select the Preset filter as Product Deployment (Trellix Agent).

Each assigned client task per selected category appears in the details pane.

Click Actions → New Client Task Assignment.

Set these options:

1. On the Select Task page, select Trellix Agent as Product and Product Deployment as Task Type, then select the task you created for deploying the product.

2. Next to Tags, select the appropriate option, then click Next:

   • Send this task to all computers

   • Send this task to only computers that have the following criteria — Use one of the edit links to configure the criteria.

3. On the Schedule page, select whether the schedule is enabled, specify the schedule details, then click Next.

Review the summary, then click Save.
