You can migrate Trellix File and Removable Media Protection (Trellix FRP) 5.5.0 from Trellix ePolicy Orchestrator - On-premises to Trellix ePolicy Orchestrator - SaaS.
Trellix FRP now supports migration of endpoints that use Trellix FRP only for Removable Media offsite encryption with password or certificate authentication. You need to use the ePO - SaaS Migration wizard in the ePO - On-prem console for the endpoint migration. Eligible endpoints are filtered based on predefined migration criteria to ensure only the appropriate endpoints are migrated.
The migration includes both the encryption software on the endpoints and the management components on the servers. The "FRP: Client Versions" query on ePO - SaaS displays Trellix FRP endpoints after they migrate to ePO - SaaS.
The migration capabilities of Trellix FRP to ePO - SaaS also includes bulk migration of Removable Media (RM) recovery data from ePO - On-prem to Trellix ePolicy Orchestrator - SaaS. This ensures all RM recovery data from one or more ePO - On-prem servers is available in Trellix ePolicy Orchestrator - SaaS, enabling helpdesk operators to recover RM devices initialized from managed Trellix FRP endpoints. You can schedule a Server Task to continually migrate the device events. The task migrates only unmigrated recovery data.
You can also migrate Removable Media (RM) device events to Trellix ePolicy Orchestrator - SaaS. This ensures the last 100 days of RM device events are available in ePO - SaaS for compliance reporting. Only events from systems already migrated to ePO - SaaS are migrated. After migration, device events can be accessed using the RM device events query in Trellix ePolicy Orchestrator - SaaS. You can schedule a Server Task to continually migrate the device events. The task migrates only unmigrated device events.
